Disney World: Pirates, Parades, and Ponchos

We spent the New Year at the happiest place on Earth!  Unfortunately it rained quite a bit--which really limited pictures--but it didn't limit the fun!

You can't go to Disney World without taking a picture of the castle!

...Apparently lots of picture of the castle...

FYI, the wait time on Splash Mountain is quite manageable when it is raining.  That was definitely a perk!  (Also, for those of you who are confused, I am taking the picture below.  That is Caitlin with my brother in the second row.)

The sun came out to celebrate Caitlin's first safari though!

These are...cows with really long horns.  From Africa.

And cows with really long necks.

The poor hippo was just working on his tan, and these birds kept pecking at his belly fat.

The safari wasn't the only place we encountered elephants though.

Caitlin did really well at Buzz Lightyear.  They don't just make anyone a Galactic Hero!  (Take Brielle for example...she wasn't the best at looking where she was aiming.)

Loving the rain!

The Dinosaur ride may have gotten a little intense.  :-)

We splurged and ate lunch in the new Beauty and the Beast's Castle!

The girls loved dressing up as princesses!

Baby Neal was content just bundled up staying warm.

It was fun to get to meet him!

By the end, we may have worn the kids out a bit.

It was a great trip!  It's too bad we had to go back to work so soon.  At least the sunset was pretty from the airplane!
