Best Two Years

We have been married for TWO YEARS!!!

I can't believe how quickly it has gone!  We have been so lucky: since getting engaged we have been to Yellowstone, Mexico, Southern California, Florida Keys, New York City (twice), Seattle, and Disney World!  It has been so much fun!

For our second anniversary, we drove ourselves just a couple blocks to The Cheesecake Factory and enjoyed a scrumptious dinner.  For dessert, we prematurely had a big slice of '30th Anniversary Chocolate Cheesecake.'  It was so good!

Don't worry about us working off all those calories though--we treated ourselves to the coolest anniversary gifts ever!  Adult-sized scooters with giant wheels!

It has been such a wonderful journey so far, and I know it will only get better!

Cow Appreciation Day

July 11th, 2014, was Cow Appreciation Day at Chick-fil-A!  $16 worth of yummy chicken was on the house thanks to these costume beauties!  So worth it.

Hogle Zoo Day

We met up with Caitlin's old roommates and visited the Hogle Zoo!  Neither of us had ever been there before and the new African Safari section had just opened. 

The giraffes are our favorite.  They just hang out and lick the wood posts all day.  (Fun fact: the average giraffe tongue is 21 inches long!)

It was a really hot day, and the animals didn't look like they were enjoying it much.

Little Cal is the cutest kid!  Sometimes he misses what is right next to him.

Just kidding, he found it!

That's an otter.

The poor polar bear looked like the heat was getting to him.  We watched him for 15 minutes while he just kept walking in the same circle and touching his nose to the same pole over and over...and over again.

I guess it was nap time because all the cool cats were sleeping.

The exotic llama!
