Christmas Festivities

With the recent onset of May, we thought it an appropriate time to report on last year's Christmas (always fashionably late, we are.)  This post will consist mostly of pictures...as we honestly can't remember the details behind half of them.

We made gingerbread houses (well, graham cracker houses) for FHE at a friend's house in the weeks leading up to the Big Day.  Can you guess whose is whose?  ...And you're wrong.  Turns out that Caitlin really struggles sometimes.

We also continued our tradition of going to Temple Square to see the lights.

Caitlin grew up with a tradition of driving around to see all the Christmas lights and decorations at people's homes on Christmas Eve.  We searched for good places to go in Salt Lake City and came across this self-proclaimed "Christmas Street."  Once we arrived, it quickly became apparent that we were not the only ones who had done that Google search.  Despite the line of cars though, it was certainly fun!

With the help of a package from Momma Dekker, we were able to get our own apartment relatively festive as well!

Opening presents Christmas morning!

As it turns out, our $20 Christmas tree assembles much, much easier than it disassembles.  In case you were curious.

We had a wonderful Christmas!

  1. We were looking at your blog, and Clara asked if you could come play here. I told her you lived far away, and she said "but they could drive. They can come right now." So you better start driving!!

    1. Haha! We will get right on that! Tell her we are just 14 short hours away whenever she needs us!
